No-card trials provide full plan access and never convert automatically: Creator 3 days, Operator 7 days, and Studio 14 days. One lifetime personal trial is shared across Creator and Operator. A workspace owner may start one lifetime Studio trial across all workspaces they own. Invited members do not consume their own Studio trial eligibility by joining or using that workspace.

Studio includes 3 Admin, Producer, or Editor seats. Talent is free. Additional seats cost $29.00/month or $299.00/year each.

The $15.00 Event Pass provides 72 hours of Operator-level individual access. Eligible Free and Creator accounts see it on authenticated pricing and upgrade options, including while viewing a team workspace. Opening checkout does not change the active workspace. After Stripe confirms payment, EasyPrompter switches to the eligible personal workspace and activates the pass. A successful purchase during an active Creator trial ends that trial immediately, and the trial cannot be restarted. Canceling or failing checkout leaves the workspace and trial unchanged.

Founding Member Pricing

Eligible beta accounts activated before September 8, 2026 at 8:00 AM ET receive one individual, account-bound code for 20% off one Creator, Operator, or Studio base subscription for its first 12 paid months. Each code can be redeemed once through December 7, 2027 at 7:00 AM ET so supported legacy access can be migrated and carried over before subscribing. Stripe Checkout shows the applied discount before payment. Event Pass and Studio add-on seats are excluded.

Founding Member pricing takes precedence over a partner customer discount because Stripe Checkout accepts one promotion per purchase. Partner attribution and commissions remain recorded.

In Settings, Billing and Organization are grouped under Workspace. Notifications and Privacy & Data are under Personal. Workspace and device sections only appear when they are available for your current role and plan.

Using the Billing Page

The Billing page uses a wider, non-modal layout so your current plan, upgrade choices, and invoice history remain visible together.

  • The default compact view recommends the next sensible recurring plan: Free to Creator, Creator to Operator, Operator to Studio, and Studio workspaces to Studio.
  • The compact row shows the selected billing cadence, price, and action without displaying long feature lists.
  • Select Compare all plans to expand the eligible recurring-plan comparison inline. Select Show recommended plan to collapse it again.
  • Event Pass remains a separate one-time purchase and does not appear in this recurring-plan comparison.

When Billing is opened from a Founding Member email, the page verifies the account-bound offer before showing a paid action. If verification fails, plan selection remains hidden and Retry appears instead of allowing a full-price checkout. Beta users with active EasyPrompter 3 access receive a migration-first message and should use SettingsMigration rather than starting a second subscription.

For accounts with invoice history, Billing keeps older invoices collapsed by default. Expanding the history opens a bounded, scrollable list so a long billing record does not push the rest of the page out of reach. The page loads up to 20 recent invoices. Select Manage Billing to review older invoices in Stripe.

If support adds an account credit to your account, it appears in Billing History as a green Credit added row, and any unused amount shows in an Account credit banner above the history. Credits apply automatically: each upcoming invoice is reduced until the credit is used up, and your payment method is not charged while the credit covers the full amount. You also receive an email when a credit is added. There is nothing to redeem or activate.

Changing Between Paid Plans

Moving between two paid plans — a different tier, a different billing interval, or both — is quoted before it is applied. Selecting a plan replaces the plan list with the terms for that change, and nothing is charged until you select Confirm change.

Due today is the exact amount charged at that moment, not your next invoice. Stripe prorates to the second, so an upgrade mid-cycle credits the unused time on your current plan against the new plan's charge and bills only the difference. Changes that take effect at renewal instead — Operator to Creator, and any annual to monthly — show No charge today.

The quote is calculated against the moment you opened it. Leave the review open for more than about 15 minutes, or change your billing details while it is open, and the terms are recalculated and shown again for confirmation before anything is charged. This is why a confirmation can come back asking you to review updated terms rather than completing.

Billing interval changes use this same flow: select Change Plan, use the Monthly / Annual toggle, then choose your current plan at the new interval.

Personal and Studio Billing

Creator and Operator belong to your personal workspace. Studio belongs to a separate team workspace.

  • Selecting Studio from a personal workspace first advances to a focused setup step. The team workspace name is required there before the trial or paid checkout begins.
  • Stripe uses the team workspace name as the customer name and the initiating workspace owner's email as the billing contact. The subscription and its features stay with that team workspace.
  • An existing Creator or Operator subscription is independent. Studio checkout lets you keep it or schedule it to cancel at the end of its current billing period.
  • In a team workspace, the Studio card never displays Creator or Operator as organization downgrade targets.
  • Every workspace member sees a separate Personal plan card for their own Free, Creator, Operator, or Event Pass access.
  • Only the workspace owner can make Studio financial changes, change its billing interval, resubscribe a canceled workspace, or open the organization's Stripe billing portal. Non-owner Admins and other members can review the workspace billing state but must contact the owner for changes.

Ownership Transfers and Billing Email

Transferring ownership of a Studio workspace does not currently change its Stripe billing email. The original checkout administrator may continue receiving Stripe invoices and payment notices. The subscription, plan features, workspace access, and new owner's billing permissions are not affected.

If the Stripe billing email needs to change after an ownership transfer, contact EasyPrompter Support. An organization administrator cannot reliably change this association inside EasyPrompter yet.

Downgrade or Cancel

Current plan showing Studio Trial with pricing and management options
  • In Change Plan, your current tier is called out at the top and the matching card is disabled so you can compare from the right baseline immediately.
  • Downgrade cards split the comparison into You keep and You lose, while upgrade and billing-cycle changes focus on what you gain.
  • Operator-to-Creator and annual-to-monthly changes are scheduled for renewal. The confirmation shows the effective date and confirms that nothing is due today. A persistent Billing banner lets you select Keep current plan before the change takes effect.
  • Before an interval change is confirmed, EasyPrompter shows the current and new recurring terms from Stripe, eligible discounts, and the recurring subtotal before tax. If the preview cannot be loaded, retry it before confirming.
  • Downgrading to Free preserves all scripts. Your 2 most recently updated stay editable, while older scripts become read-only and are never deleted.
  • An expired Studio workspace is archived in read, export, and copy-only mode. Shared data and Managed Display records cannot be changed until Studio is reactivated.
  • Cancellation options: cancel at period end (keep access until then) or cancel immediately
  • You can resubscribe anytime from the banner in Settings → Billing. For Studio, only the workspace owner sees a compact Studio-only monthly or annual flow, including the workspace's existing add-on seats.

Upgrade Prompts and Recovery

  • Locked features remain visible where practical. A modal opens only when you try a blocked action.
  • Contextual prompts open with a compact recommended plan on Monthly. Select Compare all plans to expand the same modal into the full Creator, Operator, and Studio comparison on Annual. You can return to the compact recommendation without leaving the feature that opened it.
  • Pricing and Billing provide non-disruptive recurring-plan links. Event Pass remains a separate one-time option through its eligible purchase paths and countdown banner.
  • A failed recurring payment shows a persistent warning throughout the app. Personal subscribers and Studio workspace owners can select Update payment method to open Stripe billing. Other Studio members are directed to the workspace owner. The warning clears after payment recovery is confirmed.
  • Inline billing changes update the current screen and other open tabs immediately.
  • Safe actions resume after access is confirmed. Script creation continues automatically. Collection creation retains its personal or team privacy zone. Import returns focus to the import button and asks you to choose the local file again.
  • A contextual Creator trial can offer Try Operator, which escalates the active no-card trial. A trial banner's Subscribe to Operator action always starts paid checkout, including after the trial expires.
  • Prompter upgrades preserve the current script. Hardware panels reopen, Operate Mode resumes, and Live Edit opens after EasyPrompter confirms the new plan access.
  • Stripe checkout cancellation confirms that no billing change occurred. Successful checkout is verified before the welcome confirmation returns you to the originating action.
  • If Stripe requires additional payment authentication for a plan change, your current access remains active and the pending change is saved to your billing account. The upgrade modal restores it after a reload or when reopened, shows a secure invoice link when Stripe supplies one, and lets Check payment verify activation, refresh the current screen, and resume the blocked action.
  • If an immediate change fails after an existing scheduled change is replaced, EasyPrompter restores the previous schedule. A support-required error appears if Stripe cannot restore it.
  • If overlapping checkout pages for the same personal account are both completed, EasyPrompter keeps one subscription and automatically refunds the duplicate payment.
  • Canceling a new Studio checkout keeps its unfinished workspace out of the workspace switcher. Restarting setup safely reuses that recovery workspace. If checkout cleanup cannot be confirmed, EasyPrompter preserves the recovery state and shows a warning rather than reporting successful cleanup.

Manage Studio Team Members

The paid-member heading in Settings → Organization shows how many included team places are in use (for example, "3/3 seats"). EasyPrompter calls each paid team place a seat.

  • Admin, Producer, Editor use paid team seats
  • Talent is always free
  • When every paid team place is in use, inviting another Admin, Producer, or Editor offers additional seats. Stripe shows and charges the adjusted amount for the rest of the current billing period.
  • Seat reductions are scheduled for the next renewal and cannot go below active billable membership
  • Seats are freed automatically when you remove a billable member

Email Notifications

Required billing alerts stay enabled while renewal, invoice, product, and tips emails remain configurable

Go to Settings → Notifications to control which emails you receive:

EasyPrompter normally sends payment-failure alerts through its transactional email service. Stripe may send the customer-facing notice when EasyPrompter cannot classify the specific billing issue.
