12.1 Add to Home Screen Prompt

EasyPrompter is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that can be installed on your device for a native app-like experience.

iOS Safari

When you visit EasyPrompter on iOS Safari, a prompt appears at the bottom of the screen:

1. Look for the "Add to Home Screen" prompt at the bottom
2. Tap the Share button (square with arrow)
3. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
4. Tap "Add" to confirm
5. EasyPrompter icon appears on your home screen

Android Chrome

On Android Chrome, you may see an automatic install prompt:

1. If prompted, tap "Install" to add to home screen
2. If not prompted, tap the menu (⋮) in Chrome
3. Select "Add to Home Screen" or "Install app"
4. Confirm the installation

Dismissing the Prompt

• Close (X): Dismisses for current session only
• "Don't show again": Permanently dismisses the prompt
• The prompt won't appear if you're already in standalone mode (PWA)

Benefits of Installing

• Full screen: No browser chrome, more screen space
• App icon: Quick access from home screen
• Offline access: Works offline (with cached content)
• Better performance: Optimized for standalone mode

Edge Cases:

• The prompt only appears on mobile devices (iOS Safari, Android Chrome)
• The prompt won't appear if already installed as PWA
• Some mobile browsers don't support PWA installation
• Standalone mode may have limited access to browser back/forward navigation

12.2 Mobile Navigation

On mobile devices, the sidebar is replaced with a hamburger menu:

1. Tap the menu icon (☰) at the top left
2. The navigation slides in from the left
3. Access scripts, collections, settings, and search
4. Tap outside or use the X to close

Edge Cases:

• Mobile menu includes all features from the desktop sidebar
• Search is integrated directly into the mobile menu
• Swipe gestures may not be supported in all browsers
